On Thursday, December 12th, Domino C-Stores presented Merritt High School with a donation of $3,880. The following day, the team also presented Seiling High School with a check for the same amount. This was the company’s third donation for the second year of their Fueling the Classroom Program, an ongoing program to benefit all communities within the Domino C-Stores service area.
“Merritt Public School is grateful and thankful for Domino’s support in Fueling the Classroom!” said Sarah Peffer, the teacher that nominated Merritt. The school plans to use this donation to purchase a 3D printer for their STEM program.
“I am extremely appreciative for the financial support of Domino C-Stores and our community members for voting for this project,” said Jennifer Hedges, the teacher that nominated Seiling High School for Fueling the Classroom. “Promoting community service is a goal of the Seiling Student Council, and we are so excited to have a project that honors our service members funded by Domino C-Stores.”
Seiling High School plans to use the donation to create quilts for Quilts of Valor in their life skills classes.
“I’m very pleased and honored that we are able to support our local schools and students through the Fueling the Classroom program,” added Nancy Jackson with Domino C-Stores. “I’m always so proud to participate in the check presentations and see how excited the students are at this kind of support for their projects.”
As part of Fueling the Classroom, Domino C-Stores is donating two cents per gallon of fuel purchased with Domino Rewards or Shell Fuel Rewards every day. Domino has donated over $61,000 to local schools since the start of the program in October 2018.
A new school will be selected to receive a donation each month. Schools can be nominated on the company’s website at dominocstores.com/fuelingclass. Voting then takes place on social media.
You can now vote on the recipient of the December donation on the Domino C-Stores Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
