WE CARE ABOUT CLASSROOMS
“Convenience That Cares” isn’t just a slogan at Domino C-Stores. We believe that giving back to our communities is the right thing to do. Because we also believe the future of our communities depends on what happens in the classroom, it makes sense for us to run a campaign to help them be more successful.
In our first two years of Fueling the Classroom, we donated over $86,000 to local schools. Stay tuned to see what we do with year three!
Please read through the details and guidelines below for more information about the program. Email email@example.com with any questions.
Nominating Your School:
Due to a large volume of messages, we cannot guarantee nominations submitted in other ways will be received. We don't want to miss yours, so please submit them using the form below. Don't forget to include a description of why your school needs funds. This will be a big factor in our final decision.
After submitting your nomination, a member of the Domino C-Stores team will contact you if your nomination does not meet our stated criteria. Approved nominations will be added to our social media for voting, so make sure you follow all of our pages!
Nominations roll over from month to month, so if you nominate your school in October they will still be eligible in November.
Voting for Your School:
Facebook: All schools will be placed in a photo album. Likes, comments, and shares on the school’s photo in that album will be considered as one vote.
Likes, comments, and shares of the album itself will not be considered a valid vote. All votes must be on the original Domino C-Store photo to count (this includes extra photos and videos that the school may share).
Comments are limited to one per person per day. The exception to this is comments that contain a unique photo.
Twitter: Retweets and likes on the tweet announcing the school will be counted as one vote.
Instagram: We will be making one post each month announcing that voting is now live. Comments on that post with the school’s full name will be counted as one vote.
Comments are limited to one per person per day.
Additional Weight: Additional weight will be given to schools that promote their project in creative ways on social media, such as photos and videos. Please tag us and use the hashtags #ConvenienceThatCares and #FuelingtheClassroom so that we see them. We will also give additional weight to schools based on their need for funds.
Final Decisions: We understand that our schools are in communities that vary significantly in size. For this reason, our final decision will be based on a combination of expressed need, social media voting, and creative promotions.
Time Frame for Voting and Selection:
We will accept nominations the first two weeks of every month. Voting begins the third week and ends on the final day of the month. We will announce specific dates on social media since they will vary slightly from month to month.
A school will be selected and announced at the end of the month and before the first fundraising date in the following month.
Example: Nominations open December 1st and close on December 17th. Voting begins on December 18th and ends on December 31st.
Dates in October and November will be different as our team adjusts to the new schedule.
Donation Amount. Any donation amount listed in promotions is an estimated donation amount. Actual donation amounts will vary from month to month based upon participation levels. Total donations will be determined at the end of each month.
Distribution of Funds. Payment will be made to the school approximately 6 weeks after the last fundraising day. Payment is contingent upon cooperation with the recipient school. Payments will be made into official school accounts and will not be paid to an individual representative or student.
Usage of Funds: Funds must be used on classroom improvements and/or classroom projects. Funds must not be spent on athletic teams, extra curricular student organizations, booster clubs, and/or school foundations.
Eligibility: Only schools within our service area are eligible at this time. We may expand our eligibility criteria at a later date. Schools are only eligible to receive a Fueling the Classroom donation once per school year.
