Weatherford East wins January Fueling the Classroom Donation

On Friday, February 15th, Domino C-Stores presented Weatherford East Elementary with a donation of $5,555.  This is the company’s fourth donation for their Fueling the Classroom Program, an ongoing program to benefit all communities within the Domino C-Stores service area.

“East Elementary is very proud and excited to be chosen for this donation,” said Principal Brad Howl.  “We are thankful for Domino C-Stores and their generosity in supporting education in Western Oklahoma.  Our students and teachers are excited about the opportunity to improve our STEM Lab and increase the exposure our kids will get in these critical areas.”

The donation is impacting more than just the students and teachers; it has a positive effect on the employees and their morale too.

“It is a great honor to be a part of a company willing to give back so much to the local community,” said Domino #108 Manager Paxton McCormick.  “Knowing that money is going somewhere locally to strengthen the opportunity of a bright future for kids makes my job fun.”

As part of Fueling the Classroom, Domino C-Stores is donating one penny per gallon of fuel sold at all Domino locations all day every Wednesday.  Domino has donated nearly $20,000 to local schools since the start of the program in October.

A new school will be selected to receive a donation each month.  Schools can be nominated on the company’s website at dominocstores.com/fuelingclass.  Voting then takes place on social media.

You can vote on the recipient of the February donation starting Monday on the Domino C-Stores Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
